Overview
Cybernetic Walrus is looking for an experienced project manager/producer to join our team to help create applications and games for our customers.
As a fast growing company we are running 3-4 projects simultaneously. We already have many project management procedures into place however, we are looking for someone to refine these procedures and follow them up on a daily basis improving the timing, planning and delivery of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop best practices, facilitate broad initiatives, and support business goals.
- Facilitates and supports development and delivery of high-quality games on time through planning and coordinating all aspects of game projects from inception to submission.
- Work with team to develop an iteration plan to deliver on the producerās vision.
- Work with game teams from 1-15 members to develop and maintain up to date documentation and scheduling formation on assigned game details.
- Facilitate and disseminate the flow of information among team members on assigned projects.
- Participate in analyzing and removing project barriers and roadblocks.
- Develop, track, and report on project progress, resource, staff, assets, schedules, and project metrics through a variety of reporting methods including burn down charts.
- Continuously monitor and identify project risks, create mitigation plans, and maintain management strategies for development.
- Review the delivered results and the teamās performance and adapt as necessary.
- Manage work on multiple projects of high complexity in tandem with a product manager.
Requirements
- Bachelorās degree or equivalent experience.
- You have successful delivered a quality product through consistent milestones in a 12-24 month cycle start to finish.
- Agile, Scrum certification preferred
- Strong Excel skills, Microsoft Project, or similar program
- 1 to 3 years or more experience in managing creative projects
- Knowledge of the gaming or video game industry
- Ability to leverage knowledge to identify needs and opportunities and develop in depth solutions
- Must be familiar with software engineering as well as project management techniques and methods
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal skills in English.
- Interest in a wide variety of games and game genres.
- Ability to work on-site in the Cybernetic Walrus office in Antwerp, Belgium.
Pluses
- Agile, Scrum certification preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Devops
- Strong written and verbal skills in Dutch.
